Reconsider reinforcement mechanics
[From Discord by neovi]
It's a great game overall but I didn't like the fight design where enemies just pop up out of nowhere mid-battle in close proximity or other unpredictable AI shenanigans (outside of established game mechanics) often causing you to improvise from a disadvantageous tactical position. This often means you can't reliably plan ahead and the game heavily rewards you for undoing last turn(s) to better position your units due to unforeseen developments which I don't like because it felt like the game expected you to rely on the undo as a core gameplay mechanic in some situations.

ODS Kangaroo AdminThe reinforcement mechanic has been an important part of our battle design: it can serve as an element of surprise, while also making combat scenarios and the story more immersive.
The element of surprise creates an opportunity for Tacticians to think quickly on their feet. This surprise can also go both ways, as it is not limited to introducing more enemies.
We will note this suggestion when we design battles for our future projects, exploring potential ways where we can introduce elements of surprise (as well as create better immersion) without it necessarily feeling disruptive.
