Maximum units in formation increase over time
The number of units you can field feels very stifling, capping your units to 10 for so long is an unfun form of difficulty. let us use more units as the game progresses and then compensate with larger groups of enemies. This also allows for more missions with split formations or diverse tactical objectives a well.

ODS GeeK AdminWe discussed this topic internally, and came to the conclusion that this would not be possible to implement for Lost Eidolons.
To provide more context, the unit cap was not implemented as a form of forcing artificial difficulty. It has been a core part of our game design, and we revisited this during our discussions on this topic. Higher unit caps were explored in the past, but the main reason we settled with the current 10-unit cap was in our efforts to provide a better gameplay experience. Adding more units and compensating with more enemies had the high risk of battles becoming too long, which we felt would negatively impact the Lost Eidolons experience.
As we planned every element in combat (map design, enemy placements, attack ranges, spell/skill use counts, etc.) with the 10-unit cap in mind, changing it now would require re-adjusting combat design and balance for the entire game.
