Make armor and weapons look different between classes/characters

I wish that the armor and weapons could look different. like i get you have standart weapons , but specially the armor and rare weapons could be unique to each character and have mutiplie standard armory for casual soldiers of the same class.
Within the weapons of sword axe spear bow etc., i wish for more variety (like having sabers katanas etc, one hand axes two hand axes tomahawk,... you know what i mean). makes it more special to check each weapon on its own and fight with it

This is one of the things our team previously discussed and revisited with this suggestion. We hope sharing our thoughts help explain how we came to our current equipment aesthetics.

During development, we had concluded that we should keep things on the simpler side for practical reasons: we wanted to make sure Tacticians could quickly identify weapon types by seeing a unit on the grid. We felt giving a uniform/consistent look to each weapon type would greatly help.

Seeing quite a few Tacticians want more varied equipment, we revisited the topic. As we discussed what could be done, we concluded that we will keep our current designs and consider adding more varied equipment when we work on a future project. Being an independent studio with limited resources, our primary focus is currently on providing core gameplay-related features--this effort is still ongoing beyond launch (e.g., New Game+ mode, cutscene improvements, etc.), so we wanted to make sure we keep our focus there.
