More diverse animations for magic spells

I expect that this is due to budgetary reasons, but my only real disappointment in this game thus far as someone who LOVES magic units is the lack of diverse animations for dark and light spells, this seems to be especially the case with dark spells where most of the spells I have seen are essentially recycled from other animations.

Elemental spells by contrast are very diverse in their visuals.

If possible it would be super cool to eventually see these spell animations expanded, not least because the current animations I have seen are all basically puffs of black smoke with different intensity.

When discussing this topic, the team expressed we'd love this, too. However, being an independent studio with limited resources, we unfortunately cannot add this to Lost Eidolons. This is something we would like to expand on in the future if we are given the chances and resources to do so.

To share a bit more information, we had plans for 200+ combat animations during the initial planning phase of Lost Eidolons. As we had to allocate our resources wisely on various aspects of the game, we reassessed several times and came up with the current pool of animations.

Our team is committed to creating the best gameplay experience we can, and is frequently reviewing various aspects of gameplay and resources. We will continue to do so, and keep this suggestion in mind as we work on future projects.
