DrewSomewhat related, I noticed that a sleeping enemy still had a guard percentage. Seems wrong that a sleeping enemy can still block an attack. So sleep should nullify guard and maybe even crit defense too.

ODS_ThorThor AdminWe are discussing the possibility for this. One thing for sure is that it will take a lot of time if we decide to take this on, so we'll have it Backlogged for now. We'll circle back to this and give an update when there is more movement on the topic.

Derek RhineI'd like to add that not all de-buffs should do this, but complete disables like sleep, frozen, ect... would make a lot of sense and enhance the tactical value of using a debuff vs always going for the kill. Also the idea that mages without weapons not getting a ZOC would make a lot of sense and help to limit the power of mage stacking, which is currently very strong.

ODS GeeK AdminWe revisited this topic. While we understand where this suggestion is coming from, we concluded we would like to keep the zone-of-control system as-is.
The current design and balance account for units being present regardless of status effects (ODS Geek's personal notes: think of it as units just body-blocking). Making changes to the system would require reassessing multiple gameplay aspects around it, and may result in unexpected outcomes that are far too risky--it would basically require an overhaul to the ZOC system and balance. Thus, we would like to keep our current system.
