Decrease the size of the dialogue box

The only suggestions I have that I haven't seen already, is to make the black dialogue box where text appears smaller. It extends almost 3/4ths up my screen vertically and casts a weird shadow on the characters when they're speaking.

We would like to learn more about this issue, as it could potentially be a bug. Would it be possible to get screenshots and information (like the game's settings) so that we can look further into it?
