Improve WASD camera panning
From Discord by Rabbit:
I do have one quality of life suggestion regarding WASD panning around the battlefield. Right now if I hit WASD, the camera jumps to wherever my mouse cursor is to begin panning. That feels jarring to me. I want to simply pan with WASD without the camera jumping to center on the mouse cursor’s location.
...
I’d love to just pan with WASD while also flitting my cursor about fluidly.

ODS GeeK AdminWe understand that the suggestion is for a slightly different panning mechanics than what we have in Lost Eidolons. We did look at different options during development and chose the current battlefield camera controls to facilitate navigation, especially in larger battlefields--by combining cursor movement and WASD, it allows for quicker panning. We will keep the panning controls as-is.
To cover the current WASD camera panning mechanics in a nutshell for those who may be wondering:
- If you do not move your mouse cursor: WASD pans normally, 1 grid at a time
- If you move your mouse cursor:
1) The very first input of WASD (whichever key) will re-center your screen around your mouse cursor
2) Any subsequent inputs, including press-and-hold, will resume WASD panning
3) If you move your mouse cursor again, it will go back to re-centering.
The re-centering allows you to quickly move your camera across multiple grids.
